Ravinia lawn

We had 8,010 people at James Taylor on Friday night and 8,030 on Saturday night. You literally could not see the grass.
This is a picture of ONE of the lawns. Technically there is just a north lawn and a south lawn, but I would say there was at least four times what you see in this picture.

Umbrellas and leftover party favors
Saturday started out as a beautiful day. People were lined up outside the main Ravinia gate at 3:30 and when it opened at 5:00 everyone came flooding in for the second night of James Taylor. The sky started getting dark and the downpour started around 5:30, but those lawn-goers are hardcore and they stayed on their little plots of grass with their fancy picnics and waited it out.
I was in the office finishing up some paperwork when Stephanie (my boss's boss) asked me to bring her an umbrella. I found hers in her office and borrowed one for myself from Production. I raced down the stairs and a nice man opened the door for me. It was pouring rain and I was getting soaked as I fumbled to open my umbrella while juggling my office cell and camera and Stephanie's umbrella. The man yelled "Quick! Open your umbrella! Quick! It's raining on you!" I was laughing at myself and finally got the umbrella open. As I walked away from the office it occured to me... "That was James Taylor." :)
We had only one event that night. A fancy dinner for our most high-maintenance corporate sponsor, RBC Wealth Management. My second surprise of the evening came at the end of their event when they gave Christina, Stephanie, and me the leftover party favors they had given their guests - iPod shuffles. :)
